Aoki: "Mama, this is the best meat I've ever had in my whole life!"

Like One of Us

I guess my lack of sleep is showing..Aoki said, "Mama, your eyes are little! You finally look like the rest of us!"

Missing in Action

Aoki woke up with a 103 degree fever this AM. She is more upset by missing Picture Day at school than anything else! "But Mama, how will the other kids remember me when they go to Kindergarten if I'm not in the picture?"
Broke my heart in two.

Fashionista

On my way out to a work event this evening:
Mama: Hey, Aoki. Does Mama look nice?
Aoki: Umm, well your outfit isn't very fun..but at least your hair looks really cute!

Turkey Lurkey

All of the kids in Aoki's class were asked a few questions: How do you make a turkey? Where do you get a turkey? How long does it need to cook?

Her response:

"Maybe you can buy a turkey at a store. I don't know which store. It costs 100 million dollars. Take it home and put something on it. Put tomatoes, lettuce, salt, pepper and sauce. Tomato sauce. It's ready to cook. Cook it in the oven. Cook at 10 degrees for 1 hour and 300 minutes. While the turkey is cooking, you can just wait until it cooks! It's done when it 'dings'. Take it out of the oven, and put it on the plate. Invite all of your friends and eat it!"
