Me: Wow, Aoki, you're being so helpful and so patient with your brother. You've been such a big girl lately!
Aoki: Well, I at least need to be good until AFTER we go to Disneyland. I don't want to mess that up!

Aoki: Mama, how does Wonder Woman turn from woman to superhero?

Aoki: Wow, she wears beautiful clothes, and then changes into her costume in an instant! She is pretty all the time!
Me: Yes!

Superman, to the Rescue!

15 minutes after being put down to bed...

Miles: Superman, to the rescue!
Aoki: Miles, be quiet! Don't you know I have to get up in the morning and go to school to learn? Sheesh.

Sick

Aoki: Mama I'm so sorry that you're not feeling well. I'm a little worried.
Me: Don't be worried sweetie, I'll be better soon.
Aoki: Um, okay. But I'm worried that you might not feel good enough to pack my lunch. Then what will happen?

Mama Gotta Make Money

Aoki: Mama, why do you have to work tomorrow night? It's Saturday. Don't you know what the weekend means?
Mama: I dunno, what does the weekend mean?
Aoki: Somebody needs to tell you that when you work it's a Monday through Friday thing. They need to know that work on Saturday is completely and extra kind of work.
